"Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul."  Psalm 66:16

By 1955, tap dancing had been around for over one hundred years as an American art form.  For the next two decades, it would slip quietly away form the public eye, as there were no longer ample performing venues for dancers to make a living.  Some dancers went to Europe and continued to entertain with success; some tried different professions, as teachers and choreographers.  But, during the next twenty years, tap dancing would hold its own only to emerge as strong and as versatile as it had ever been.  Because Americans love rhythm.  And that is what tap dancing is all about.
